I was born in Boulder, Colorado and then spent a few years in California before moving to South Florida where I grew up for many years. From a little boy I've loved animals and nature with a specific interest and passion in saltwater aquariums and micro environments. When I became a young man I put most of that aside and started working in the service industry where I ran myself ragged, working so hard for such little pay.

Sometime later I had a change of heart and wanted a drastic change for my life, both physically and spiritually. At the same time my father was wanting the same for his life, so we both decided to embark on a journey together. We sold most of our stuff, packed up our Jeep and left our home and headed for the rocky mountains where my sister Ashtyn and nephew Elijah later joined us. Our dreams were to find and buy a piece of land, live close to the earth and build sustainable homes from natural materials while working on our own spiritual growth.

We explored all over the Rocky Mountains for years with a year in Ojai, California.  We did some camping and would spend the winter in beautiful places like Taos & Sante Fe, NM, Angel Fire, NM, Ojai, California, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho... We were having great experiences that fundamentally changed me.  Then we ended up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and quickly connected with the city and began to really like it here. I feel I have found where I want to see those dreams of land and building my own house happen but that will take more money to support. So I started a power washing business called Beautify Tulsa Pressure Cleaning and built a small business for the past three years but after some recent experience's I've had a change of heart and no longer wish to build and run the power washing business.  I am now changing my career path to one that involves the environmental that has the potential to grow and scale financially more then pressure cleaning.  I've been bitten by the environmental bug along with a drive to help our Earth cope with the issues surrounding our environment.

We hope to attract, inspire and empower activists and normal people of all kinds to start environmental projects that can help support a specific movement or a cause.  As global warming is now realized as a very real and devastating situation the Earth and all of us are now facing and living in the time of a global precipice for great change or great collapse.

Imagine a world where over 51% of our country was actively participating in projects that positively benefit our environment, both small and large.  We would overwhelm our earth with good.  This is the heart, dream and hope of "Our Earth" Movement, founded by the Bigelow family.

Spiritual pursuits have been a large part of my life since I was eleven with wonderful experiences in this realm recurring throughout my life.  Was married 14 years and created two wonderful children who are my greatest joy.  And I am delighted to be able to say that we are still together and still best of friends after all these years.

jeepBefore starting my software development career in 1983, I created a life of adventures.  Skiing every slope south of Jackson Hole Wyoming, I fell in love with the Southern Rockies and the Boulder, CO area.  I've hiked and camped all through the Rocky Mountains & some of the Smokies.  Spent a year outside of Sante Fe, NM living like a mountain man in the 70's, one of the most memorable times of my life.  I loved walking into the wilderness with a knife and a few supplies.  Once I scaled a 700 foot rock face without ropes and a 50lb back pack.  To me, the outdoors has always felt precious and at some point I realized that I too am nature.

Robert Bigelow dancer nyc 1975NYC and the dance world held my interest for a short time as I was a professional dancer (ballet & modern) and performed around the New York area and improved at "Environ" because my dance partner was Danny Brubeck's girlfriend at the time.  My last dance performance was completely improvisational (not choreographed) at Colorado State University as a guest dancer for their graduation events.  It was so electrifying for me that as the last note faded into an unexpected long silence which burst into a roaring applause, I knew I had danced my last, I was complete.

Boating had been a part of my life growing up, going to the Abaco islands from Fort Lauderdale, FL, water skiing, scuba and snorkeling and even surfing on the puny east coast waves.  I've lived and worked on a variety of boats as an adult.

In between what I call life eras, I rode motorcycles, played guitar, was a hippie for a few years, hitchhiked over 30,000 miles in the 70's, sat in half the natural hot springs in the Rockies, did a few paintings, spent three years adventuring through the Rockies with Chris, Ashtyn and Elijah, built a toner cartridge business, a computer consulting firm, spent plenty of time with my family as they were growing up, canoed down rivers and a lot more...

And so, after developing websites for the past 10 years, I hope you enjoy the movement behind the website that is close to all our hearts.
